Michelle Splitter Falls To Leukemia

Michelle Splitter a promising young basketball player from Brazil died from leukemia at the age of 19. Splitter was diagnosed with leukemia back in 2004 and received treatment. Later she returned to the game and even last year was selected to play trial games for the Brazilian Senior National Team. However, she lost her battle to leukemia and the burial will be tomorrow (day 3), in Blumenau, Santa Catarina, in time still to be confirmed by the family.
