Lappeenrannan Catz Win First Finnish Cup

Lappeenrannan Catz defeated Helsinki Espoo Team in the Finnish Cup Finals (69-57). A very emotional game but Catz kept the lead during all of the game  23–14, 15–14, 12–13, 19–16. After five minutes in the first period Catz led 11-4 and by the end of the 1st period 23-14. The Catz defense allowed them to get a lead going into half time.

Elena Reshetko led all scorers with 21points and Yelena Solovyeva led all rebounders with 13. There were four players in double figures for Catz and only two players for Espoo Team. Top scorer for Espoo Team were  Mirka Jarchovska and rebounder Siiri Nuutinen with 8 rebounds.
