France has been in preparation since the start of August and last night played a test match against a young Swedish team. France took control in the second half of the match with in particular the centres dominating the play as France won the match comfortably 85-57.
Sandra Dijon was the pick of the French players with double double, 12-points and 11 rebounds but Edwige Lawson hit a game high 17-points. Isabelle Yacoubou and Geraldine Robert earned their first senior selections.

The squad has now been reduced from 19 to 16 players with Caroline Aubert, Amelie Pochet and Fatimatou Sacko the 3 players to be released today.
France will be hosting a 4-nation tournament in Aix-les-Bain from the 17th - 19th August with Lithuania, Czech Republic and Russia taking part.
