LF2 Playoffs Host Escape First Game With Win Over Don Piso

C.B. PIO XXI 68 - Don Piso 64 

LF2 Playoffs host C.B. Pio XXI started the first game against Don Piso Girona very strong and even making a 10-1 run during the 1st period. American Elisha Turek and Celicla Lineira lead Pio XXI with 6 points in the first period. While Don Piso came back late after starting the game slow, Marta Xargay and Geisa Da Silva kept the pace with scoring 6 points respectively.

During the second period Don Piso scored numerous shots from the perimeter and their defensive efforts allowed them to win the 2nd period (21-14). However, they did not have an answer to American Elisha Turkek who scored 14pts during the first half. While strong efforts on both ends of the court by center Da Silvia finishing the half with 13 points and 9 rebounds for Don Piso.

Pio XII gathered back momentum in the 3rd period outscoring Don Piso 21-18 by shooting better from the perimeter especially 3pointers. In the final period the momentum was favored by host Pio XII and during the stretch the team came up with big baskets and finishes while Don Piso tried to come back from behind.  In the final two minutes Don Piso scored consecutive baskets but it wasn't enough.
