Sanda Ygueravide ignited the strong start fro Estudiantes by scoring 8 points in the first period. Estudiantes made a 13-5 run in the first five minutes over Jovent Mariana. During the final part of the period Jovent Mariana was able to score 10 points while holding Estudiantes to 6 points. Center Astou Traore and wing Maria Moreno scored inside to help Jovent Mariana in close reach to finish the 1st period.

Jovent Mariana started the second half strong on the offensive end with great shooting from the perimeter. Esther Morillo hit a pair of important 3 pointers to bring Jovent Mariana on ahead 2 points to finish the 3rd period. Jovent Mariana was able to get to the line and covert 10/11 from the charity strip. Estudiantes did not get any easy baskets in the third period.
