JOVENTUT MARIANA 77 – FEMENÍ SANT ADRIÀ 47 Sóller waited until the end of the quarter for its first hit (3:30 remaining) a 10-0 run sparked by a three point play from Kristina Palaimaite to end the first quarter leading 17-6 and cruised to an easy and comfortable win. The second quarter was used by Mallorca’s team to Hill the game, Sant Adrià (who remained more than 9 minutes scoreless) wasn’t a menace to Sóller’s outfit which kept on adding points to its lead that was 42-16 at the interval. Being María Moreno and Astou Traoré the leading scorers for the Balearics with 7 and 8 pts respectively
The game served Sóller to give rest to their important players and in the second half they slowed down the rhythm so Sant Adrià escored more frequently, ending the second half with a 35-31 run for Sóller that finished a pleasant game 77-47 and awaits its opponent. María Moreno was Sóller’s best with 16 pts and 8 boards. Astou Traoré joined her with 12 and 6, Carla Freitas added 13 points and Kristina Palaimaite 12 boards and 5 pts. For Sant Adrià Mónica Lázaro scored 11 pts

Zamora started in front but quickly with a strong defense which contained Estudiantes but failing to score (They had a poor 13-from-41 in two’s and 7-from-24 in three pointers) however they were in front throughout the first quarter with a biggest lead of 14-8 after 3:30, beginning then Estudiantes to trim the deficit reaching the end of the first just 16-15 after a 7-2 run
Estudiantes completed the comeback and put themselves in front for good after three minutes in the second, 20-18. Nacho Gacía’s girls begin getting confortable on the court and took adventage of Zamora’s foul trouble. Juan Ángel de Mena had to sit Aitana Cuevas and Erika Valek with three fouls as well as putting their team in bonus. Everything mentioned before proved in favor of Estudiantes who could kept its noses in front though they weren’t also having the best of the mornings in shooting however Zamora closed the gap to two points, 26-24, but failed to complete the comeback and went into the break trailing 31-26

Her leadership and hot three point shooting proved vital for Madrid’s team which broke out the game while scoring a 15-8 run in that final minutes of the third to start the final stanza 58-49 in front
Zamora tried everything that they had to make a comeback but it definitely wasn’t their day in shooting, as well as the fouling out of Aitana Cuevas eventually served to make things clearer for Estudiantes that had a biggest advantage of 16 points (72-56) with two minutes remaining and cruised to the end of the game which ended 74-61 and put themselves in the semi final
Sandra Ygueravide lead Estudiantes with 22 pts, Maria Vilouta added 12, Laura Herrera 14 and grabbed six boards and forced six fouls. Erika Gómez wasn’t the scorer she usually is but helped the team into the lane grabbing 14 rebounds and scoring eight points, as well as forcing 5 fouls and Irene Castrejon scored 11
For Caja Rural Verona Norte it was Lidia Gesteira who lead the team with 15 pts while grabbing 5 boards, stealing 5 balls and handing out an assist while only turning the ball over three times. Erika Valek had 12 pts and Laura Gimeno 10
