Israel One Win Away From Eurobasket 2007

The national women's basketball team of Israel defeated Slovakia 84-71 in their first game of the pre-qualifying tournament for Eurobasket Women 2007 in Italy. Once again, led by Liron Cohen on of the best players for Israel scored 24 points, also Merav Dori added 20 points to help defeat Slovakia. 

Now Israel is only one game away from qualifying for Eurobasket 2007 and is looking to do better than in 2005. They reached the EuroBasket 2003 in Greece, but failed to qualify for the championships in Turkey in 2005.
