Isreal Enters 2007 Eurobasket Championships

Finally, after four years Israel's women's basketball team has booked its place in EuroBasket 2007 on Friday night. It was a close call and they needed to win or either Slovakia to defeat Poland. One of the two did happen as Slovakia won over Poland 76-74 in the final game of the additional qualifying tournament.

"We promised we would do all we can to reach the championships and we proved we deserve to be there," Israel coach Eli Rabi said. "This is our chance to show our abilities. The tournament will not be easy, but we hope we can do some nice things.
