2-17 for Belgium in the first 6 minutes showed belgians superiorita, mostly playing transition baskeball, over a turk team were their best player, Nevriye Yilmaz didn’t play, that wasn’t able to find an easy way to the basket.

Turkey only reached doble digits in the score in the las minute of the period in wich Anke de Mondt led the way for Belgium with 9 pts and 5 rebounds, joined by Nele Deyaert rebounds from Irina Medvedeva. Yasemin Horasan scored 4 for Turkey.

Turkey woke up in the second quarter that was about trading baskets, but that was in vain for Turkey as they weren’t able to cut the deficit

Belgium was not as fluent as in the first quarter, while Turkey run better his offense but only to answer the Flemish baskets. Laurent Buffard’s team went to the lockers leading 26-49

Ann Wauters was the best of the belgians with 6 pts, and Yasemin Horasan scored 4 again for the turks

After the break both teams continued trading baskets during the next two quarters, keeping Belgium comfortably their advantage, reaching the end of the game with the result 63-85 for the Laurent Buffard group.

For Belgium five players were in double figures Ann Wauters (13), Irina Medvedeva (10 and 8 rebs), Kathy Wambe (10), Laurence Van Malderen (16) and Anke de Mondt (15)

In Turkey only two players reached doubles Yasemin Horasan (17) and Bahar Caglar (10)
