image The Eurobasket 2007 Womens Championship was surprising for some teams and respected play from others. Gold medal winners Russia will join their fellow countrymen in celebrating their win over both National Teams from Spain to win in the Eurobasket 2007 Finals. Belarus who worked hard for their Bronze medal caused a bit of surprise for their competitors and proved that can play.

Overall, the play at Eurobasket 2007 was a success for most. The MVP of the championship went to Amaya Valdemoro from Spain. The guard was the best player in the tournament in Italy and was a leader for her team during the finals in Spain's loss to Russia. The All-Tournament team included Maria Stepanova, Olga Arteshina (Russia) ,Natallia Marchanka (Belarus) and Anete Jekabsone-Zogota (Lithuania).
