Div B: Germany stop The Netherlands

Germany maintained their perfect record and beat The Netherlands by 40 points (75-35) already ending the game as a contest in the latter part of the second quarter with a four-minute 12-0 burst (38-14). To add to the Netherlands’ misery they lost Rosanne Guijt, the current 3-point leader of the tournament, due to injury and the team was not able to recover.

Sonja Greinacher top-scored with 18 points and 6 rebounds while Svenja Brunckhorst dished out 6 assists.

Germany’s head coach, Alexandra Marz, said “Okay I think that it was a difficult game for us, especially in defence and also offence. Congratulations to the girls as they really played well and were focused to the point.”
