Recap of Day 4 in U18

 

Group A:
Greece secured qualification by beating Switzerland (70-45) and are all set for the group decider against Germany on day 5. The winner of that match will have a game advantage going into the qualifying round.

In the other game Luxembourg lost against Austria (69-58). They will have to wait for the result between Switzerland and Austria to determine which team to play in the 9th to 16th classification round.

Group B:

Estonia secured their place in the qualifying round after coming from behind and a one-hour power failure to eliminate Macedonia (57-50).
Meanwhile Slovenia overpowered Portugal (64-42). The second spot for the qualifying round in this group will be decided on day 5.

Group C:
Hungary overpowered Denmark (74-55) while The Netherlands secured their qualification after beating Bosnia (77-51) with Marianna van der Hoek scoring 29 points.

Group D:
Latvia and Belgium had no problems in defeating Ireland (91-42) and Scotland (99-24) respectively. Hence Latvia and Belgium will play off for first place in their group. Scotland will be playing for 17th place.
