USA Womens National Team Training Camp Spain

During the months of March and April, the USA Womens National Basketball Team will resume their training for the Beijing Olympic Basketball Games 2008 . In August, the national team gained an Olympic berth after winning the FIBA Americas games. Head Coach Anne Donovan is excited to get the team together to start training for the Olympic Games which are only 5months away.

"I'm very excited about being five months away from Beijing and I'm certainly counting the days down until we get this team together as a whole and get on the court together in our training. Our preparation coming up, both our March training and our April training, gives us an opportunity to get players on the floor to get evaluated and to get our system a little more solidified."

The training camp is scheduled to be held in Salamanca and Valencia, Spain March 14-20th. These cities are where the top Spanish Womens teams are held, Perfumerías Avenida Salamanca and Ros Casares from Valencia. They will also play friendy matches against those two teams as well during the training camp.
