Núria Martínez: “You Can Notice The Quality of Spain In The First Game”

Interview with Núria Martínez

The player from the Spanish Basketball National Team had to leave the training camp because of an aggravated injury in the left hand. Martínez was in attendance in the Telefónica Madrid Arena to present the Pre-Olympic Qualifying Tournament of FIBA 2008.

Before anything, how are you?

Good, I only have two weeks left of the cast, soon I will be able start to recover.

What do you think of the first round?

I think you can notice the quality of Spain in the first game and with only one day of competition, you can already tell which teams have options to obtain a place for the Olympic Games.

Which are the five best for you?

Czech Republic, Belarus, Japan, Brazil and of course Spain

With superiority in the first game, what will Spain do on Wednesday against Brazil?

I hope it goes well, Brazi is a rival that we know pretty well, and I'm sure that Spain will have a big game.

What national teams do you wish Spain could rival in the quarterfinals?

I don't have a preference. Maybe Cuba is whom we know less of, and it is a team is very accustomed to play together, while Belarus is a rival that we know well during the last Eurobasket 2007.
