Czech Republic 77 - Argentina 55

Argentina started strong in the first quarter (25-18) and gave Czech Republic many problems especially inside guarding Carolina Sanchez. Sanchez started the first half practically unstoppable by scoring 18 points for Argentina. Czech Republic was able to score more baskets in the second quarter to put them up by 3 points (38-35) going into half-time.

During the end of the second quarter, Sanchez was hit in the nose and did not return for the second half. Without the inside presence of Sanchez and without star center player Gisela Vega, Argentina was voided in areas of offense and defending the paint against the Czechs. Argentina only scored 20 points in the second half and the Czech Republic continued strong to close out the game winning by 22 points (77-55)
