Czech Republic's Team Shooting Tops Angola For A Spot In Quarterfinals

The good work in defense of the Czech Republic provided them an early 13-0 in the first 3:30 minutes of the game (Hana Machova made 8 of that 13). Angola finally woke up and made a 7-0 run to make it 13-7 leaving the Czech's scoreless for more than three minutes. Jan Boborovski’s team stroke back and made an 11-2 spurt (with another 5 from Machova) in the last three minutes to end the first quarter 24-9 ahead.

Jan Boborovski rotate the bench during the second and that was obvious on his game despite of Marketa Mokrosova’s ten points. Although both teams traded baskets during the most of the quarter Angola chipped their déficit  and closed the gap to 8 points with a three pointer beating the buzzer of the quarter from Astrida Vicente, who scored 9 points in the quarter and made it 30-38 going into the break

María Afonso got her team into a six-point deficit at the very beginning of the third, 32-38, but the Czech Republic stop hesitating and closed the game right after that. Hana Machova started an 8-0 run (In which she scored six points) putting her team ahead 32-46 and from that moment on the Czech's increased their lead progressively and cruised to the final victory. Eva Viteckova and Hana Machova scored combined 15 points from the 21 of their team in the quarter (7 and 8 respectively)  

The last quarter begin 59-40 for the Czech's. Angola still tried the comeback, but Jan Boboroski’s team closed the game and the chzecs coach gave some rest to his decisive players. His backup players kept the level of the team in the final minutes and increased even more the chezc’s advantage until they reach the final 86-54 score

For the Czech Republic Hana Machova scored 21 pts in 23 minutes. Ivana Vecerova and Marketa Mokrosova 12 apiede, and Eva Viteckova added 10.

For Angola only Astrida Vicente had double digit in scoring with 12 pts. Nassecela Mauricio and Angela Cardoso scored nine points a piece
