Women's Diamond Ball Weekend Results

China the host of the Diamond Ball Tournament in Haining China defeated Mali (91-67) after fighting three quarters before extending a big lead. Latvia also surprised Russia and overshadowed Becky Hammon's National Team debut with 75-69 win. Anete Jekabsone-Zogota scored a first day and game high 34 points in big win for Latvia. However, during the second day, the USA won by 10 points over Latvia (84-74) despite Anete Jekabsone-Zogota scoring big with 24 points. The USA Womens National Team had five players in double figures 

Host China was defeated by Australia by 14 points (84-70) in the final quarter after giving up a 22-point lead. Tomorrow Australia will face Mali, and USA will face Russia in first game with Becky Hammon against fellow Americans.
