Southern California Gives USA Basketball Scare

The USA Basketball Women's squad had to come back from behind against the University of Southern California. Lisa Leslie led the team in their comeback by scoring 17 of her 25 points in the second half against her ex-college team. Coach Ann Donavon of the USA team expressed her surprise in the quality of their team due to losing four seniors this year. 

“I think USC’s got a great team this year,” said USA and Seattle Storm head coach Anne Donovan. “They took me off guard a little bit. They lost four starters and they really did a nice job tonight, played confidently. Outside and inside they really did a nice job. (They) have an exciting year ahead of (them).”
