image The undefeated Baylor Lady Bears extended their reign after being voted as the top team in The Associated Press Women’s Basketball Rankings for the tenth-straight week.

The Lady Bears had another impressive week, defeating Oklahoma State, 71-44, followed by a 77-59 demolition of Texas for the 17th win in as many games this season, which led to them getting all of the 39 possible first-place votes in the poll.

Baylor superstar Brittney Griner and the rest of the Lady Bears will try to solidify their grip on the top spot this week, but it won’t be an easy ride for they will be clashing with Texas Tech (17) and Kansas State (23).

Notre Dame, who moved to the second spot last week, retained their ranking, followed by Connecticut, Stanford, and Duke. Kentucky, Rutgers, Maryland, Tennessee, and Ohio State complete the top ten, respectively.

Kansas State entered the Top 25 for the first time since 2009 after scoring a pulsating one-point win over then-10th ranked Texas Tech last week.
