Mercury Wins WNBA Finals 2007

There is a new champion in the air and its the Phoenix Mercury. The Mercury overpowered the Shock in their final quest to win the 2007 WNBA Championships 108-92. Phoenix shot well from every spot of the floor with 52.3% from the field and 96.7% from the free throw line. The biggest lead that the Mercury had in the game was 19pts with 14 fast break points. 

The most valuable player (MVP) of the playoffs Cappie Pondexter scored 26pts, while other star players Penny Taylor played great with 30pts and Diana Taurasi with 17pts. This was light year for the Mercury and they demonstrated that their fast pace game can break any defense, despite what doubters think.
