Anne Donovan the current head coach of the USA Women's Basketball Team resigned as head coach of the WNBA team Seattle Storm in November. After being a head coach in the WNBA for five years and serving the last five years with Seattle. Her first year she was head coach of the Indiana Fever in the WNBA. At the Storm Donovan received many honors as a coach by making four playoff appearances and the WNBA crown in 2004.

“After five years and a great experience with the Storm, I have decided it’s time for a change and a new direction in my career, an opportunity for me to explore new experiences.” Donovan said. “The level of support the fans in Seattle have shown for the Storm has been incredible. I will miss it, but feel I am making the right decision.”

This summer she became the second winningest coach in the WNBA. She will be missed in Seattle but she will be making her debut as the 2008 Olympic Coach. As a player she played in the Olympics and hope to bring back a gold medal in 2008.
