Sparks 85 - Silver Stars 70

Lisa Leslie lead the way for the Sparks with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assist. Leslie has shown after being on maternity leave during the last WNBA 2007 season that she should not be counted out. This summer winning the Olympic Gold Medal and now in the running for yet another WNBA title if they get past the San Antonio Silver Stars.

"This is a really good time for me,'' she said. "I feel like my stamina is much better. I'm sure some of the other players around the league are probably a little more tired than I am.''

The Sparks played good defense on the pick and roll by Becky Hammon which is the beef of their offense. Getting the ball out of her hands caused many problems for the Silver Stars. Candace Parker also had a brilliant game for LA by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assist. She is without a doubt the Rookie of the Year which will be announced soon! For the Silver Stars, Ann Wauters was the top scorer with 18pts and Sophia Young scored 16.
