Detroit Shock Wins 2008 WNBA Championship

The Detroit Shock swept the San Antonio Silver stars by winning three straight games in a row. The Shock has won three WNBA championships as a franchise and Taj McWilliams-Franklin finally got her first WNBA championship after 10 years in the league. The MVP of the WNBA Championship Finals was given to Katie Smith, who led her team to another championship with her leadership, sharp shooting and defense.
