The duel between the Detroit Shock and Indiana Fever seems to get to the same point year after year in the WNBA Conference Finals. Indiana so far has still not found a way to get around the veteran team, as they lost in the first game of the series. No matter where Detroit stands in the regular season their veterans always show up for the most important moments. Deanna Nolan and Shavonte Zellous scored 22 and 23 points as they easily beat Indiana (72-56) this past Wednesday.

On the West Coast, the game was high scoring and more competitive as the Sparks lost to the Mercury (103-94). Diana Taurasi has the hot hand as she scored from almost every spot on the floor leading all scorers with 28 points. The Mercury made a total of 14 three pointers and Penny Taylor (18), Cappie POndexter (15) and Le'coe Willingham (12) chipped in with scoring. For the Sparks, Candace Parker (28), Tina Thompson (25) and Lisa Leslie (19).

Next game of the series is tonight starting at 7pm EST.l
