Bourges Basket and Famila Schio took down their respective opponents to complete the 2013 EuroLeague Women Final Eight cast that will vie for this year’s prestigious title.

Bourges Basket bounced back from a crucial home loss against Wisla Can-Pack in the first game of their series by winning in their next two games, including a series-clinching 66-59 win on Wednesday night in France.

Endene Miyem had a huge night for Bourges Basket as she finished with 20 points and 14 rebounds, while Celine Dumerc and Styliani Kaltsidou added 12 points apiece, helping the French club to escape with a win after a poor performance in the first period.

Led by Alana Beard, Wisla Can-Pack raced to a 17-9 lead in the first period, but they failed to sustain their momentum. Bourges slowly chipped in to the lead in the second and third periods then pulled away in the final period en route to the huge win.

“We won this series in a hard but nice way, losing the first game in Bourges and fighting in the two following ones. I'm very happy to see a team victory with all the players on the top,” Dumerc said after the game.

Meanwhile, Famila Schio bounced back from their road loss in game two with a hard-earned 79-75 overtime victory over Rivas Ecopolis in Schio, Italy.

Laura Macchi spearheaded Schio’s attack, finishing with 23 points and six rebounds, which overshadowed the performance of Rivas forward Oleksandra Kurasova, who racked up 24 points and seven rebounds.

“This win comes in the hardest moment of the season for me and for our team. We are so close to our target and each game must be played as a final. It's what we did tonight. Thanks to all the great people in Schio,” Macchi said following their impressive win.

Bourges Basket and Famila Schio joined CCC Polkowice, Fenerbahce, Galatasaray, Good Angels Kosice, Sparta&K MR Vidnoje and Final-Eight host UMMC Ekaterinburg in the next round of the tournament.
