UMMC Ekaterinburg did not disappoint their hometown fans as they successfully bagged the 2013 EuroLeague Women title with a dominating victory on Sunday night.

The EuroLeague Women Final Eight host leaned on the terrific crowd support to pull off a one-sided 82-56 win over Fenerbahce in their title showdown at the DIVS Sports Hall in Ekaterinburg, Russia.

UMMC Ekaterinburg jumped on the gun right from the opening tip and took control of the game early by building a 26-11 lead at the end of the first period. The second half was a close battle with each team scoring 13 points, but the Russian powerhouse outplayed their opponent once again in the third period.

Ekaterinburg led by 22 points heading into the final period and they never looked back from then on en route to the comfortable title-clinching win in front of more than 5,000 fans inside the venue.

Candace Parker led UMMC Ekaterinburg as she finished with 24 points to go along with 11 rebounds and five assists, while Sandrine Gruda added 19 points and eight rebounds.

For her impressive performance, Parker, who got his first EuroLeague Women title, was named as the Final Eight Most Valuable Player. Throughout the entire season, the American superstar averaged 16.9 points and 10.4 rebounds for UMMC Ekaterinburg.

Silvia Dominguez, on the other hand, won his third consecutive title with three different clubs. After the game, Dominguez said: “It's amazing but I think I was just in the right place at the right moment each year. I am just fortunate to be in these teams with great rosters. Now I play for UMMC on the same court as where I won two years ago, it was nice to win the title in front of all these home fans.”

Earlier in the day, Bourges Basket claimed the third spot with a comfortable 65-57 win over Good Angels Kosice led by Celine Dumerc, who finished with 24 points to go along with seven rebounds.
