USA Womens Basketball Wins Diamond Ball Over Australia By 4 points

USA 71 - Australia 67

With the countdown to the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Team USA just beat top opponent in the final game of the Diamond Ball Tournament in Haining, China. Lisa Leslie led her team as veteran and multiple Olympic Gold Medalist for the close win over Australia. The game was close throughout the game and at half USA led 35-29.  Both teams shot fairly good percentages from all positions including foul shots. Penny Taylor led Australia with 19pts and Lauren Jackson , the Diamond Ball Tournament leading scorer was held to 14 points with big defensive efforts by Team USA.
