After the disappointment of missing promotion last season, the programme was changed radically this year with the preparation only beginning in June. This is the 3rd year in the B division for Germany and the objective is the same promotion.Alexandra Maerz is the head coach this year and had a tough debut with the traditional 3-match series with France. France won the series 3:0 but Germany almost upset France in the second match with a gusty performance.
The lessons learned from the series with France were put into play as Germany went on to beat Holland, Ireland and Luxembourg in their last preparation tournament.
