Brazil National Team To Start Training in São Paulo

São Paulo – The Women's Brazilian National Team, sponsored for the Eletrobrás, follows the preparation for the Pre-Olympic Trials of Americas in Valdívia, that will be carried scheduled from September 26-30. The team trains in integral time in the Olympic Center of the Ibirapuera, in São Paulo. The coach João Nunes explains that they are in the second stage of training.

"In this second week, the objective still is the profit of muscular mass, but we are diminishing the volume and increasing the intensity. With this we prepare the team for, to the few, to increase the intensity of the tactical treinos and to diminish the physical part. We are introducing the speed elements and agility to prepare and to give to the teams the characteristics necessary to place in practical in squares the tactical philosophy of the election, that is based on the quick game and the strong defense – João commented."

No Torneio Pré-Olímpico, o Brasil está no grupo “A” e terá como adversários na primeira fase a Argentina (dia 26), o Chile (27) e o México (28). O campeão garante a vaga para os Jogos Olímpicos de Pequim, em 2008. O segundo, terceiro e quarto colocados vão disputar as últimas cinco vagas no Torneio Pré-Olímpico Mundial, que acontece de 9 a 15 de junho de 2008.
