EuroLeague Women: Taurasi Leads Galatasaray to 4th Straight Win

Diana Taurasi had another dominating performance to lead Galatasaray Medical Par to a 106-82 win over Uni Seat Gyor to remain undefeated in the ongoing EuroLeague Women season.

Diana Taurasi poured in 24 points to go with six rebounds and five assists for Galatasaray, who dominated their opponent right from the opening period in front of a silenced crowd in Gyor, Hungary.

The Turkish club, who is one of the favorites to win the title this year because of their star-studded roster, came out firing in the opening period and built a 24-14 lead heading into the second period, where they also dominated Gyor to found themselves ahead, 52-30, at the half.

Uni Seat Gyor had a decent second half, but Galatasaray MP did not let their guards down en route to their fourth-straight victory this season.

Spanish star Alba Torrens also had a share of the spotlight as she finished with 21 points and five assists, while USA National Team standout Tina Charles racked up 17 points and five rebounds, completing a dominating performance from Galatasaray’s superstar trio.

Nora Nagy, on the other hand, paced Uni Seat Gyor with her 17 points and eight rebounds, while Iva Ciglar and Zsofia Simon added 18 points each, but it was not enough to lead their team to an upset win over the powerhouse squad.
