Four Teams Aim To Take Last Two EuroLeague Women 2013 Final Eight Spots

Six teams are already in – two more to be taken as four teams put their season on the line in a pair of do-or-die matches this Wednesday.
Bourges Basket will face Wisla Can-Pack in game three of their Play-Off series, while Famila Schio will go up against Rivas Ecopolis with the winners of each pairing advancing to the EuroLeague Women Final Eight.
Wisla Can-Pack scored an upset on the road in game one, but Bourges Basket gave them a dose of their own medicine this weekend with a 50-38 win in Krakow, Poland.
Tina Charles had a huge night for Bourges Basket as she finished with 28 points and 15 rebounds. However, her monster performance was not enough as her teammates struggled to find their respective touches.
After the game, Wisla Can-Pack coach Jose Ignacio Hernandez said: “It is hard to say something about this game. Bourges scored only 50 points here in our gym and we could not win. What can I say, only Tina [Charles] played on her level, the rest of our players made together only three shots. Now we still have a third game and we must fight for our goal.”
The two teams will collide in a winner-take-all game on Wednesday in Bourges, France.
Meanwhile, Famila Schio and Rivas Ecopolis split the first two games of their series with each team winning on their home floor, which forced a decider in Schio, Italy.
Famila Schio opened up the series with a 69-63 home win, but Rivas Ecopolis also held court as the blew their opponents out with a masterful 75-47 win in Rivas-Vaciamadrid, Spain.
“I'm happy with the attitude of my players. We played good defense and were able to run. I think that home court advantage is so important when playing at this level and the story will be different in Italy. The biggest difference between our rosters is that the Italian players from Schio are more used to play that kind of 'finals' like the third game will be,” Rivas Ecopolis coach Miguel Mendez said after the game.
Game three will be on Wednesday at the PalaCampagnola in Schio, Italy.
